The DMC Surgery Hospital emergency department  cares for patients of all ages.   Approximately 6,000 patients are seen every year and treated for a wide variety of traumatic and medical conditions.   The hospital is equipped with a radiology department that provides services including x-rays, CT, Ultrasound, and very soon MRI.  There is a 24 hour in-house laboratory. 

The emergency department is staffed mostly by emergency medicine trained physicians.  The department is an active participant in Emergency Preparedness with Homeland security for Region 2 North.

Approximately 95% of patients are seen within 29minutes.   Over 75% of patients are seen, discharged or transfered within 60minutes.    Excellent  customer satisfaction based on surveys and written report from patients.

The DMC care clinic is an integral part of the department catering to DMC employees.
